A piece in my on-going rose series, 'sky + line' that seeks to utilize the roses as linear building blocks to illustrate thematic elements found in natural dusk and dawn horizons. This piece features a sunrise roses ombre of hand-painted roses against a hand-painted canvas ombre, inspired by a photograph of a dawn horizon line at Francois Peron National Park in Western Australia.
